Deletion Policy

Effective 19 September 2026 · Public discovery website
How to request deletion
Email info@afritracelink.com with the subject “AfriTrace data deletion request”. Identify the public record, email correspondence or personal information concerned and explain your relationship to it. Provide only the information needed to locate the record.
Verification and review
Before acting, the team may request proportionate identity or authority verification to protect another person’s information. Do not send identity documents or credentials in an initial enquiry. A request concerning an organisation may require confirmation from its authorised representative.
What deletion can involve
Depending on the record and the request, action may include correcting information, withdrawing public visibility, deleting the record or anonymising personal information. These are different actions; the response should explain which has been taken.
Retention and limits
Information needed for a legal obligation, dispute, security investigation or other lawful retention requirement may need to be retained with restricted access. Backup expiry and copies held independently by third parties can affect removal. The team should explain any limit that applies and the outcome of the request.
Current website
Public self-service account registration is not active. You can still request review of personal information in a public listing or an enquiry. Nothing in this process removes applicable data-protection rights.
